Who doesn't love a nest?

I decided to try my hand at a little painting, on canvas, not furniture, that is. I am always drawn to nest paintings and then shy away at the price. The last nest painting I was swooning over did not have a price so I decided to ask the lovely booth owner and the my surprise, I was holding an 8x8 nest painting that was priced at $85! So...as you can imagine, I decided to paint one. Here are a few that I came up with...enjoy!

BU2ful Farmhouse Market...SUCCESS

Thank you everyone who attended the BU2ful Farmhouse Spring Market!  We had a great time and met a ton of super cute, fun people with minds like ours. We were nervous to host our first market but after the first rush our nerves were settled and then I looked at the clock and realized it wasn't even 9:00 (opening time)! As the day went on, Elaine and I were overwhelmed with people asking us if we were going to have the market again, well...yes we are, with more advertising and more treasures. Here are a few pics that I had to take with my phone, forgot the camera...sorry.

Spring in a Jar

For Christmas I made snow globes in a jar and they sold like hotcakes, so I decided to bottle up Spring too.  I love how they turned out, but then again, Spring is my favorite season (I have a weakness for anything green, mossy, dirty, rusty, weathered...pretty much anything outdoorsy and Springy) These jars would be great for our Spring show, hope we can get it put together.

Can you say "Stalker"

I don't know if this would be considered stalking or a Peeping Tom, but I have this cute little birdie I named Robin :) who set up nest under my carport. I started taking pictures from start to finish and was amazed at how fast the whole egg, hatch, fly away process really is. One thing that I did find odd is that Robin laid one egg and then a week later she laid two more...does anyone know if this is normal?

Well, it has been about a month since my last robin flew the coop but just last week I noticed another robin frantically building a nest (maybe it just dawned on her that it is now officially summer and she is a little behind the eight ball). I slipped back into my old ways and spied in the nest and who would have thought, one egg. Now I am intrigued and want to see if some siblings come later.
